Happy to be Alive - Esteban Felix photos

Esteban Felix is a photographer based in Nicaragua who travels throughout Latin America covering stories for the Associated Press. He recently photographed Maria Jose Martinez, a girl fighting to survive cancer who turned 15 this year. I've followed Esteban Felix's work for years since I met him in person while working in Venezuela for Reuters. His photography is some of the best I've seen.
